The top 5 gainers in the Sensex pack were Maruti Suzuki, IndusInd Bank, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, and HDFC Bank. On the flip side, the top losers were Power Grid Corporation of India, Sun Pharmaceuticals, HDFC Ltd, ITC, and Tata Steel.

The Nifty Midcap 100 index is trading at 30,173.50 and is up by 0.86%. The top three gainers of the index were Sun TV Network, L&T Technology, and Indiamart Intermesh. Each of these scrips was up by more than 4%. Similarly, the top 3 stocks dragging the index were Endurance Technologies, Mahanagar Gas, and Dhani Services.

The Nifty Smallcap 100 index is trading at 10,881.95, up by 0.23%. The top 3 gainers of the index were TV18 Broadcast, Rain Industries, and Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals. Each of these scrips was up by more than 5%. The top 3 stocks dragging the index JK Lakshmi Cements, IRB Infrastructure, and Computer Age Management Services (CAMS).

On the sectoral front, only Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Consumer Durables are dragging the Nifty 50 on the bourses today. On the other hand, Nifty Media and Nifty Auto are up by almost 2%.
