Buyback Announcement

A buyback is when a company decides to buy its own shares back from its current shareholders. Company might do this through a tender offer or by purchasing shares on the open market. Usually, the price they offer for the buyback is higher than the current market price.

Stock split

A stock split is a corporate move to enhance a stock's liquidity. It involves increasing the number of shares while keeping the total market value the same. For example, in a 1:2 split, shareholders get two shares for each one they had. This helps make the shares more affordable without changing the company's overall value.

Dolphin Offshore Enterprises has announced a stock split in the ratio of 10:1, meaning that each existing share will be split into 10 shares. Presently, the face value of each stock is ₹10, but post-split, the new face value will be ₹1. Company has set the record date on January 25 (Thursday). This move aims to make the company's shares more accessible to a wider range of investors.
